DataDirect JDBC Driver Failure

Even though I set the following database properties, I still get a login failed error:

viewer.getDatabaseLogonInfos().getConnectionInfo(0).setUserName("user id");
viewer.getDatabaseLogonInfos().getConnectionInfo(0).setPassword("password");

What could be wrong?  I know my user id and password work.

I'm using a DataDirect jdbc driver. This has worked with my other drivers, such as oracle.

What is viewer.getDatabaseLogonInfos().getConnectionInfo(0) doing?
Are you stetting the username/password before you get a connection?
How do you call DriverManager.getConnection... ?

Could you take a look at Q_21401654.html?

I put this under Crystal Reports but I was hoping some jdbc/java people could take a look at my issue.

if this viewer.getDatabaseLogonInfos().getConnectionInfo(0) is a crystal reports api then I am not sure I can help with it much.
If you access the java.sql.Connection directly via a DataSource or DriverManager then putting that logic here will be helpfull (as well as the exception).
