Unable to access http://companyweb from inside or outside

I am unable to access http://companyweb.  I just receive the "page can not be displayed" error.  When I attempt to access the sharepoint admin page I receive:

Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause of this specific request failure can be found in the application event log of the web server. Please review this log entry to discover what caused this error to occur.

My first step would be to uninstall SP1 to see if your problem comes from that. You can do that via "Add remove programs". There are some known issues with SP1 I tried to see if I could find anything that applies to you but still not found anything explicit
Try to temporary download and install the following version http://www.isapirewrite.com/download/isapi_rwf_0050.msi

i also just noticed I am unable to access server reports and monitoring either.   I receive the "Server Application Unavailable" error message.  I am going to try mkbean suggestion here shortly and I will follow up with the results.  Eatmeimadanish - I am reluctant to try any third party solutions right now but will if i can't find another solution.

I ran aspnet_regiis.exe -u and aspnet_regiis.exe -i -enable adn rebooted the server but still have the same problems. Any other suggestions?
Did you try to uninstall SP1?

Not yet..I was hoping there was a workaround.  Is there any repercussions I need to be aware of regarding removing SP1?  Won't we all be forced to install SP1 at some point or another?
There shouldn't be any problems uninstalling it...just a reboot.  Just to let you know Microsoft is advising some to not install it at all.

Okay thanks...I willl follow up with the results.   I have no choice...as of now none of the web based apps are working...OMA, Server monitoring, SBS remote, companyweb, etc....

When I go to add/remove programs on the server I do not see SP1 anywhere just lots of hotfixes.  Also when I run winver it does not show that SP1 is installed.  So maybe I did not install it afterall...any ideas as to what to do next?
Is there any other change made to the system done lately?

As of now no .net web apps are working at all they all report "Server Application Unavailable".  And the app event log reports the stsflt.dll error messages listed above.  The only thing that does work iin this category is OWA.

Turns out permissions were not being passed onto the child objects of the inetpub folder.  Readjusted permissions to include network and system..problem resolved!
Good finally you can have a good nighs sleep :-)
Glad to hear it is working.
