Website and Webmail only accessible outside of LAN

I had a problem a few days ago where my website and Webmail were only available inside the LAN.  Eventually, it started to work outside of the LAN again with no intervention from me.  Today when I returned to the office, I find that it is not accessible from inside the LAN, but is still accessible from the outside.

What could be causing this?  I've double-checked IP addresses and folder permissions, and all of the IIS properties.

Very strange...

Welcome back! :-)

Do you get an errormessage when you try connecting from the inside? Are you using an internal domain with the same name as from the outside, like yourdomain.com instead of yourdomain.local? And, the same question as before, are you able to connect with the ip address?

DNS on your DC's.

to view inside, add the FQN for the webmail and www under the <domanname>.com on DNS.

If I type in the local IP address, the website comes up.  Not sure how to do that for the Webmail.  I'm using www.flagship-games.com both outside and inside.

As far as DNS, I looked in dnsmgmt module, but I'm not sure where to make the entry that you tlaked about.  Are you talking about in the properties for the forward and reverse lookup zones?  I'm alittle confused.

Rindi is right
thanx again
You're on a roll!  Everything is working pretty well right now... I'm just having one last problem.  In Webmail, users can no longer delete or move emails.  They get "Access denied" messages.

I posted a separate issue for this here: https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21402906/Webmail-saying-Access-Denied.html

If you have any ideas, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks again.
