Unable to backup with NTBackup
I am attempting to perform an ASR backup on our test server using NTbackup, but I keep getting errors. We have backup Exec installed and this is able to backup and restore so I know that the problem isn't hardware related. I have disabled the tape drive in backup exec and stopped all the services. However when I attempt o perform an ASR backup (or even a normal backup) to the tape drive I get the error "The device reported an error on a request to MS_UpdateNtmsOmidInfo. Error reported :11" and gets no further. checking the backup log file gives more confusing info - Error: C: is not a valid drive, or you do not have access. I am a domain admin so I do have access, and I am able to backup if I put it to a file rather then the DLT drive. Any suggestions?
