Hi experts,

I'm in the situation that I need functionality written in Delphi 5 in my Visual Basic aspx Files.
I have Delphi 5 code that does compressing, decompressing files and read certain content out of it. (User- ids, rights etc.)

Its a busload of code and we dont want to rewright it in VB. How can I create a short delphi5 dll that I can use in my aspx File?
(New to dll stuff)

I tried to create a sample delphi5 dll and tried to add a reference to this sample dll in my aspx file.
I got the message that it is "not a valid assembly or com component".

You have to write your dll as Com dll, not standard dll

I don't have Delphi 5, but I think you could create com dll as

File > new > other > ActiveX > Com Object

    or something similar
