Remote Desktop Web Connection Auto Logon

We are looking at switching to the Remote Desktop Web Connection on our 2003 Terminal Server however the user is required to enter their username and password everytime they connect to the http://servername/tsweb page.  Is there a way to authenticate them via their windows logon information?  If so I am assuming I need to set the server up for HTTPS?  I have edited the default.htm page but cannot see where it will let me bypass by saving username and password.

ASKER

Windows XP/2000 Both w/ the latest service packs
Why don't you download the msrdp client and install it on the W2000 machines and xp already has it built in that way you can set a lot of settings like auto login and printer/ drive redirection etc instead of using the web app?  The web app is very limited.

Hope this helps

We are wanting to do it via the web as we are bringing on more and more clients and it would be a lot easier to create a shortcut on their desktop than it would to deploy the msrdp client to additional 2000 machines..  We currently are using the msrdp clent but only use it to connect to the server and run 1 single application.

Just a tip...The Remote Deskop Web Connection is an ActiveX control, so you could create your own ActiveX control that has it embedded, then your ActiveX control initiates the RDP session passing the credentials.
