Mandriva Problem

I just installed Mandriva 2005.  I am very new to linux.  The install went good.  But my video card did not automatically configure.  The installer said it would handle it on the first startup.  But, when I startup I get some errors on the sound card and one other(I can't recall).  Anyway, it just goes to the shell.  How do i get to the GUI?

Help :)

We need more information about your setup: what type of video card etc. For example, you may need to download some drivers from the manufacturers web site.

Maybe it is enough just to type in startx, X or init 5?
