Our servers are Windows Server 2003 and Exchange 2003 is the email system. We keep HR information in Active Directory users and computers (address, home phone, cell etc.) We recently had an incident where a former employee recorded that information from the address book and started harrassing our staff. Is there a way to restrict viewing personal data in exchange? I would hate to have to start removing all that data from ADU&C just because of one person. Hiding people from address lists is not an option btw. I just want to only allow management to view that data everyone else should been able to see the business address and phone information even if they add the person to their personal contacts.

Thank you for your help,

Thanks for the reply ATIG,

I don't see a way to discriminate between the personal information and the business information that I do want the users to see. Do you happen to know the specific objects to modify?

Are you using any custom fields? What fields do you want blocked and which viewable --- by default everyone has read to the dir.

I am not using any custom fields, essentially what I would like to do is allow the business phone and business address, title, manager etc... but any personal data (home address and phone) to be hidden from non management.
