dreamweaver connects via FTP but Contribute doesn't connect...

I have a site setup in dreamweaver and in the SITE DEFINITION under ADVANCED there is an option to administer with CONTRIBUTE.  I plugged in the site's ip address (no domain address yet) and clicked TEST but I just get the error:  "Dreamweaver could not connect to the remote server.  You cannot perform contribute administration tasks without a connection to a remote server.  Please fix the remote connection before testing."

The fact is that the dreamweaver remote connection works *FINE*!

I am connecting to an IIS website which points a static IP address to a specific folder:  inetpub/wwwroot/newsite.  What do I need to do to make this work?  It seems contribute wasn't made for IIS websites or it's looking for a relative path, which is already setup and handled by IIS.

Thanks in advance for any/all help!

Try setting it up to test in 'http://localhost/newsite'. This will point to that folder in the inetpub/wwwroot folder.

I have no problems working with IIS and Contribute.
