Multiple user access for Veritas Backup Exec

I would like to have multiple users have access to Veritas Backup Exec V8.6 on SBS2000. I tried using local system account with out any luck. I think I am on the right track but have not had any luck. I read Q_20802845 but am still confused.

Thanks

Dave

Let's try again.

1. Windows SBS 2000 server.
2. Veritas Backup exec V8.6 for SBS2000

I would like to be able to have at least two different users (not at the same time) login into the server (physically sitting right at it.) and be able to access the veritas backup exec.

Does anyone have any ideas?

thanks

I haven't worked with either SPECIFIC product, but I have worked with (some time ago) Backup Exec 8.6 and still work frequently on 2000 server (not sbs).

But what happens when you try this now?

On a version 9 system - you can click on Network - logon accounts - and add the names of users you wish to be able to connect to the Backup Exec server.

domain\username1
domain\username2

These accounts must also be listed as local administrators on the 2000 Server also.

I don't have an 8.6 system to simulate this problem but forwarded this information in case it applies to you.
