Cisco - Write mem vs. Copy Run Start

Other than IOS version and when the commands were enstated, is there ANY difference between these two commands?

Copy Run Start

    As default, 'write' is only for running-config file, but you can copy any file in NVRAM, Flash or network anywhere. for the purpose of upgrade and maitenance.

    Basically, they are same when you want to save your running config.
