How can I make Kaspersky Anti virus scan network drive.
I've downloaded the latest version of KAV personal pro but it said something like
"Network drive can not be scanned by this version of KAV"
my ex-collegue used KAV to scan network drive but he isn't working with me anymore.
Any advice would be very appreciated, thank you very much in advance.

How about something that will work for you for sure ?
Download a Command on Deman virus scan engine from
http://www.command2.co.uk/cod_ev/index.html
( direct download : http://www.command2.co.uk/cod_ev/codie.htm ) and it'll give you opportunity to scan all networked shares.
It works for me each time I have troubles or suspect Norton AV Corporate Edition results on my Windows 2000 Small Business Server and approx 20 computers ( Win95/98/ME/2000)
BTW it is free on line antivirus scanner.
good luck

Thanx nedvis, that program is very useful.
But I think it'll be better to have AV installed in my PC and be able to scan offline.
I mean I might not be able to connect to the internet but can connect to the computers near me and scan virus on those.
Any idea?

That's the trick Command On Demand will do for you : If you cannot connect with one of your computers , you can launch CoD on other machine and scan all your networked systems currently available on LAN.
Besides that I used to download CoD antivirus scan engine and leave the browser open ( session will not expire and the worst thing which may happen is having outdated signature file ) so I can re-launch the scan test over and over.
Regarding your question : You certainly have to install Kaspersky software version that meets your requirements (scaning networked/shared folders) . I'm not really familiar with KAV systems, sorry.

good luck
