AIT vs LTO

we are trying to decide on a new backup technology. right now we use AIT-1. But we want to go to D2D2T.
Any suggestions?

Well, right now we are using a Qualstar Library with AIT tapes.  It has been working great but now we are backing up alot more data and I want to get a soultion that will let us grow.  It looks like LTO may be the way to go.  If not just for the capacity on a single LTO3 tape for the speed as well.
