OWA not working correctly..non graphical interface

This is usually an indication that davex.dll is not loading.  In Internet Services Manager, open the properties of the Exchange virtual directory.  On the first tab, click configuration.  If the configuration button is greyed out, click create first then click configuration.  On the mappings tab, under wildcard application maps, browse to and insert davex.dll.  Repeat for public and exadmin.

If this doesn't work you can use metaedit to modify the InProcessISAPIApps key in the metabase to include davex.dll.  If this fails, try running a reinstall over the top and re-service packing.

ok...this helped but still having a problem. It starts to load the correct interface then hangs and all of the images are not loaded. I get the text for the left menu bar with broken image links, the blue bar from top to bottom and no nav on top.

These images are loaded via the ExchWeb folder.  If you had to recreate the Exchange folders, make sure you created this one as well.  It will need to point to \exchsrvr\exchweb.  Also, make sure anonymous access is enabled on the exchweb folder.

If this is Exchange 2003 make sure that the Exchweb folder is part of the ExchangeApplicationPool.  Otherwise the w3svc log should give you more information as to why enumerating the exchweb folder isn't working right.  The log by default is located in winnt\system32\logfiles\w3svc\1.  See if you can find the log that corresponds to the failure and look for any entry for exchweb.  Once you find the log entry post it here and we'll see if it can tell us whats wrong.

Delete the exchweb folder from ISM.  Now we need to edit the metabase.  If you're on IIS 5.0 then download and install metaedit, if you're on IIS 6.0 download and install metabase explorer.  Both can be found by querying for them on http://support.microsoft.com.  

Launch either metabase explorer or metaedit.  Browse to LM\DS2MB\HighWaterMarks\{GUID}.  You will see an attribute with an ID of 61472.  The data will contain a value that should contain a number.  Edit this and change it to 0, then restart the System Attendant on the Exchange Server.  This should kick off a full DS2MB replication and recreate the exchweb folder correctly.
