BIOS ROM checksum error?

When I try to boot my PC, before it boots in... it shows "BIOS ROM Checksum Error", what's the problem? What's wrong?
1 Solution
upon reading, and checking the bios rom, it checks the checksum byte(s) to see if it was read ok. yours has an error.
reason : - flat cmos battery - it should read 3 V - so replace it
             - enter the bios, save the changes and the error must be gone; or you have a bad chip
It means your battery is dead.
Change your CMOS battery. Its in your motherboard, you wont miss it. Its like a coin shaped battery.
