Faxing from computer and hard copy fax while having a DSL external Modem and an internal modem that is disabled

I am running OS Windows XP Home Edition / I have an internal modem which is currently disabled because I have an exteranl modem from AOL for DSL. My printer is a HP psc 2410 photosmart all-in-one and what I want to be able to do is to fax hard copies in the ususal fashion and also be able to fax from ( example) a word document within the software program. Is this possible and if so can you tell me how to accomplish this task? By the way I have a dedicated line on the DSL and Fax machine with call waiting which is disabled. Also if my need is doable will I need to be constantly switching printer/fax modems everytime I need to fax a document from the computer?

Psc 2410 internal fax-modem can send faxes directly from your pc.

You have to print on the fax device as explained here:
and the printer will send the fax without printing it.

All you need to do is to have the driver installed and the phone plug connected to the psc2410.
You must install the fax service first, if it is not installed.
To do this, go to :
start>control panel>add/remove programs here click on the add/remove windows programs, and scroll to the fax services. click it on; it will install the fax service.
Then you will be able to print to a fax.
