Not sure how much use this is to you :

http://vbnet.mvps.org/index.html?code/network/netconnect.htm

That is with regards to using network resources like printers, mapped drives , etc. I figured I would post it to maybe give you some idea :)

I cant get the exact URL for the search on this site but if you go to :

http://vbnet.mvps.org/

Do a search on network or networking and it pulls up a whole bunch of stuff :)

Also it would be worth while looking into WMI and going to www.allapi.net

The 2 links at the top of the latter site I gave you, has 2 programs for API's , those may prove useful to you ;)

One of the programs has a whole bunch of examples with regards to API's and some of them are to do with networking :)

Hi,

Thanks for your comments!

I don't have all those extra files & components - do I have to have them? (Its not that I will know what to do with them...).
Can't I just write a code in VB6 to connect to wireless network or to get the signal? (or maybe to use the WinXP to get it by using API?)

Thank you for helping...

I noticed that there is a wireless programming area on this site, you would have better luck posting a pointer question to this one from that TA :)
