    Accepted Solution

The top three spreadsheet apps for OS X are probably:
    AppleWorks spreadsheet component
    Microsoft Excel

Of those, only Mesa is a Cocoa app (having its roots as a NeXT app).

Here is an opensource Cocoa multidimensional spreadsheet called 'Flexisheet':

You can find more OS X spreadsheet apps on Versiontracker:

    Assisted Solution

Another viable option, available as freeware for Windows, Mac, and Linux, is OpenOffice.
(Mac version available at this address: )

I have yet to use it on a Mac (that's one of my TBD projects) but the 2.0 beta release works quite well on Windows - it's much faster loading and running than the 1.1x version, and has better compatibility with Microsoft Office formats, making it a better contender as a Microsoft Office alternative.
