Win XP Pro, restricted priveleges, old software, access problems

Hi

I'm running an AD (Server 2003, XP Pro clients). The guys here need to use some ancient software, which doesn't run under a user with restricted priveleges... what are my options?

Cheers

You have to find out where the application wants to read and write and give the user permissions there. Usually that means that you open the whole machine anyway.

You have to find out what privileges is needed for the software to run. Many times an old app require that you run it as a local admin.

Yeah except that I really don't want to give these users Admin rights over their workstations...

Hmmm yeah I'm just wondering if there's a creative way to get around the problem without promoting the users to admin, using the existing software...
