Hi GMartin,

I see that you require SP2 updates for many components in your machine. If this machine was bought as a whole from a company like HP , Compaq or Sony , Try going to their support website and give your model number of the machine and see if they have got all the SP2 updates in their support page .. That way you can get all in once..

Have you already downloaded SP2 for your windows xp machine ? Is it working fine ?
If it is working fine , then try if your Sound card is working fine. If yes , you really donot have to have SP2 update for it..

I never had to get any updates for drivers after SP2 installation on my windows xp pro.. All components worked fine..

Hi There:

I am sorry for not following up earlier on the question by sunray 2003.  Basically, the HDD of this pc was formatted in NTFS format using the XP Pro SP2 CD.  One of three things appeared within Other Devices, namely, the Multimedia Audio.  And, no, the audio is not working.  However, I am just now getting ready to use the links provided to obtain the needed drivers.

Thanks again for the followups.  I will post back the results.
