saving data on an excel websheet

when a user types info into an excel web page and tryies  to save they are asked were to save. how can I change this so theinfo automaticaly saves on this web based excel sheet.  its probably something easy that I am just over looking     thanks forany help      Im using frontpage 2003

You will need to setup the directory where the xls file exists and make sure users have the right to modify the contents of the folder.

I gave them write acces but how do i point the info to this directory

kind of users log in over VPN to view these files and uplode deposite logs,etc,etc Do I need to piont this to a directory then pull from there into a master excel log ----- Im kind of confused    sorry

My recommendation would be to create a link on the webpage to shared directory file. This would enable the users to grab the file, make changes and then save it back to the shared directory.
