Hey Meikl, how long did it take you to get to Genius (1,000,000)

well, around 6 years,
but in the early time of ex-ex the question points all
was not so high since now the last two years
2003 and 2004 i got ~530000 expert points
1998 until 2002 i got ~120000 points/year
i guess currently the time is not compareable,
today it is easier to collect easy expertpoints for "simple" questions,
as you look now into the open questions, the half of them are 500 pts. questions,
before two years there were rarely. you see it is like a points-inflation.
if i would start now and take the time (which i do not have yet) for a good advice,
then i would guess 4 years would i need then.
but at least, the points are not my motivation, but i like it as feedback

Same here, I was an original member of the old Delphi-Talk mailing list in 1995. I still post
occassionally but just don't really have the time to do EE, DelphiPages (I'm MrBaseball34),
Delphi Corner, the newsgroups AND the Delphi lists.
It kind of gives me a good feeling inside to help because this is exactly how I learned Delphi and
I feel I'm just paying back. Some of the people that helped me early on have long since moved on
but I still converse with a few of them.
I also learned VB from Compuserve back in the late 80's.
