Outlook will not open

Outlook was working fine,  expect for the sometimes problem of not sending an email, but usually in a few hours it would keep trying and finally send.  I have outlook 2002,   I downloaded from microsoft 2003 service pack,  or something free.  My outlook was stillworking ok, but had a statement come up when starting that said 2003 add in required to run 2003 service pk or later.  But could just click ok and then it worked fine.  But in a couple days when I tried to reply to an email, there was no black font there,  My signature had all the black typing removed and when I typed the curser moved but couldn't see any black type,  Once I go to the font and click on black then it works fine, except the black type for my signature is gone.  I check the signature and its still there in outlook file.  In the email just the blue ink and pitcure and links are there?  Also since I've been using outlook about one year some times when i try to reply to an email it says unspecified error and will not send the email.  Even if I retype the addy it still says error.  So I just copy and paste to a new email. ?
But now outlook will only open in safe mode?  I ran thru the repair and fix and used my disc but still only open in safe mode.  It seems its is functioning ok in safe mode,  just some buttons missing on tool bars.
When I click on the short to open outlook the home page where emals are opens and then another page that has the outlook info about 1/4 page size opens,  tell my account number who outlook is registered to etc.
Do you have an idea what to do.
Thanks
