My ftp server works over my LAN, but it will not work over my router using NAT any suggestions, but I can pull a regular website using IIS on the same box using NAT..

    The FTP does work using a command prompt just not via internet explorer, it connects but shows not files..

    In the IE properties go to the Advanced tab and make sure that Passive FTP is checked.

    On another note offers a great free personal FTP client.  Much better then IE and easier to use then the CMD client.
