Knoppix boot CD does not detect SCSI controller in Compaq Proliant ML-370
Hello All,
KNOPPIX_V3.8.1-2005-04-08- EN boots fine and seems to work well on my Compaq Proliant ML-370 (G1) with the exception of the fact that it does not detect the onboard Ultra2 SCSI controller.
I'm a newbie at the whole Linux thing, but have spent hours searching the net for simple to follow instructions on how to supply the required driver (module?) via floppy on boot. Unfortunately I can't seem to find which module is required and how to create it.
If one of the gurus out there could shed some light on this mystery I would be most grateful.
Thanks in advance!

No problem, and thanks, too.

Unfortunately it still didn't work and I didn't come up with a solution for it, but was able to work around my problem without using Knoppix after all. I did learn a lot more about Linux during my search for an answer though, so it wasn't a total waste of time!
;-)
Cheers!
