Applet is a java class that runs inside a browser when a java application runs without it (via the main method).
Both Applets and Java application are constructed from java classes.

Java Applicaiton: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/getStarted/application/index.html

An Applet is any Java class that is a subclass of java.applet.Applet.

Hi,

I think that auzarov and objects have covered everything. One thing....you can embed applet in your HTML whereas Java application is a kind of desktop application.

NP: to objects and aozarov -> Hi, you all helped me alot :). Thx.

Dave
