I have a java gui (application) which accesses mysql database on my personal laptop. i want to to make this database available to my 4 friends who will be connected to my computer.
I would like to know how all this can be figured out as regards the networking, access to my database (simultaneously),security issues and whether an application is the best for database access or some other stuff is better.
pls i'm quite new in database deployment and cant figure out how all this works even though it looks fine on my computer.
Your comments and advise is most needed and appreciated.
