Merge or search multiple PST files

I need to search through several PST files that have been created by ExMerge.  I have PST files that were ExMerged every month for all users in my organization.  I now need to search through all e-mails from a certain date till now.  Rather than mount every user's PST multiple times for every month I would like to merge all of the months into one large PST for each user so I only need to mount each user once.

Is there a way to merge multiple PST files into one automatically or a way to search through several PST files for e-mails or particular text?

Microsoft purchased a company that had a product called Lookout.  This makes searching the e-mails quite a bit easier.  I am not sure if Google Desktop will search the .pst outside of Outlook.

As for merging the files, that will not be pretty, but I have done it before in Outlook 2003.

I can't wait to see what the other answers are.

Good luck,

Bob

I think Lookout will do it. I ran across it in a search but thought it would only be for searching files and not inside the PST but after playing with it, I think it will.

Lookout is great.  If you figure out how to view the messages in a .pst without adding it to your Outlook, please let me know.  I don't mind posting the question and awarding you the points.

LookOut is great for searching but unforunately you can't copy from the results to a new forward or in a new folder.  I hope that add it.

No...that is one of the downsides...hopefully they will integrate that later.
