Unrecognized code

I am working on this project which was initially developed by some developer and I am supposed to continue his work. There is a class that contains helper methods for other class, there is something I can't understand in the using statements and the some other objects used:

using DataBaseName;
using DataBaseName.DataAccessLayer.SqlClient;

What does this mean?

There are also some objects used like
UserRepository rep = new UserRepository("#####");
UserCollection users = rep.GetByID(userId);

What are UserRepository & UserCollection?

I tried searching the Internet for all this & the msdn but I found nothing.

Can anybody provide me with links or tutorials that explains this or if someone can give me any explanations to it, what is their function, what does it mean to "using DataBaseName"?

Thanks in advance.
