How can i extract a certain field from a TAb delimited String

I am trying to extract the 10 field from a tab delimited text field..
i think the split function should do the trick but i am not sure how do i specify the delimiter as a tab

little example of how to split a file:

   Dim test As String
        Dim break() As String
        test = "this jj jj kk"
        break = test.Split(" ")

        Dim i As Integer
        For i = 0 To break.Length - 1

can u give me one of ur line example???

i figured out my problem...

i need to use a chr(9) as the delimiter...
