JetDirect Question

I have a jetdirect card in my HP Laserjet 4, I have however just bought a new HP CL2550L. Does anyone know if the jetdirect card can be fitted to that printer?

    Laserjet 4 series used MIO (modular input do dah do dah).... yours uses EIO (who knows what that is)... so it is my thought that it will not....

    But, this link has HP chat.... you can converse with those wise people to find out for sure

    Thanks, couldn't get to speak with someone as the wanted the ip address of the printer, which is strange as it is only connected to pc by a usb cable at the moment.

    Not to worry about the current jetdirect card then, there seem to be a load of them floating around on Ebay.

    you may want to look at their External Print servers.... might even be able to serve the LJ 4 and your CL at the same time
