You can schedule a batch file directly without any problem. Depending on what you're doing in that batch, I wouldn't trust a batch compiler any further than you can throw it.

to run a batch file as scheduled task do as follows:

Start - programs - accessories - system tools - scheduled task - (a windows will open) - select add task - a wizard is open - click next - Click brows - select your batch file - and select scheduled timing when you want to run that task.

hope it helps,

regards,

Imran

I have been trying to run the .exe I created from the .bat file as a servcie using the following syntax...
C:\Program Files\Resource Kit\Instsrv.exe cqm_server_internal C:\Program Files\Resource Kit\Srvany.exe

where cqm_server_internal is the name of the .exe I am trying to run as a serve...when I try to run this from a CMD prompt I get the error:
C:\program is not a command or service blah blah blah... This is straight from technet..any help would be appreciated!
