mapped drive keeps disconnecting and asking for password

How can I make a mapped drive not disconnect and store the password?

You can modify the registry as well, to keep a connection active.

However, if the drive keeps disconnecting you may be having a network/user issue.

It wants the password for the share. Where would the user name and password be inserted?

net use driveletter:  \\servername\sharename /persistent:yes password  /USER:domainname\username

The USER may not be required.
Where you see password you need to enter the password. Since this is a text file, you may want to hide it if it is a batch file.

attrib filename.bat +h
