Outlook express URL links in email do not work

I have never been able to click on URL links in my email with outlook express.  I went through TOOLS>OPTIONS>SECURITY and made sure that I was using the Internet zone so as not to restrict sites.  I am not blocking images or other external content in HTML email.

When I click a link in email nothing happens.  If I am lucky and the link is spelled out I can copy and paste it into IE and bring it up.

    Thanks for the suggestion asyscokid,

I tried that and I do have IE as my default browser.  I checked the box anyway and opened IE but it did not ask if I wanted IE as my default since it already is.  I am using Outlook Express 6 with Windows XP Home.  The other suggestions where for Outlook Express 5 and Windows 2000.  I still have the same problem.
