I am trying to back up data from my test server to production using spbackup.exe tool. When I try to restore using stsadm.exe tool on production m/c it says my back up is from a different version on WSS. But I check on the both the m/c that the versions are same, My command for back up is

spbackup -w, which gives me SPBakOut.bat file, then I place this in my procution 60\bin folder, and I give the command stsadm -o restore -url http://servername -filename SPBakOut.bat. Please let me know what I can do to solve this problem.

    Hello Jeff,

I already did that, in both the serves, version names are same after installing security and sp1. But still I am getting the same error. And can I use spsbackup.exe  and smigrate.exe to backup and restore my sharepoint portal sites. Please confirm.

    Thanking you,
