  axis-admin failed with  {http://xml.apache.org/axis/}HTTP (404)/xxx/services/AdminService

Does anyone know what this is / seen it before that could help me fx it

Not sure which plugin you are using but I guess there are two places you need to look.
1. configure you plugin to point to where you have installed Axis.
e.g. for lavadora plugin you go to Window/Preferences/Web-Services and set both
Default Axis path and Default web server url  (should point to where you want to deploy)

Another think to check is your WSDL
service/port/soap:address location=
and
binding/operation/soap:operation soapAction=
Those should point to the place that you want to deploy (this is how the deployer knows where to deploy it)
I guess you didn't change those values when copied from somewhere
e.g.
<service name="StockQuoteService">
        <documentation>My first service</documentation>
        <port name="StockQuotePort" binding="tns:StockQuoteBinding">
           <soap:address location="http://example.com/stockquote"/>
        </port>
</service>

http://example.com/stockquote -> should be changed to the real place want the service
