Netbeans 4.1 CVS and Binary files

I have a mySQL jar file in my project.  When I commit it to cvs through netbeans and then check it out later the .jar file is corrupt.  How do I tell netbeans to check this file in as a binary file?

You can configure your CVS repository to consider .jar as binary by default.
This is how you do it in JForte (I think it should be similar to netbeans):
You tag the file as binary -> From the "Add" dialogue box, select "Binary (-kb)" from the drop-down menu to the right of "Keyword Substitution" (located under the "Description Message" textbox).

BTW, to modify your CVS repository to accept .jar as binary (without the need to specify the -kb in the add command) you just add:
*.jar -k 'b'  to your CVSROOT/cvswrappers file.
