Compilation problem when adding a new project
Posted on 2005-05-05
I have a visual basic 6.0 projectgroup which compiles fine, but when I add a new project I get a compilation error. The added project can easily compile and creates a dll. It is the project that includes the last added project that fails. There is a difference how the projects are referenced in other projects. When I open the project that fails through the project group, it contains references to some of the other projects through *.vbp files. But when I opens the project alone, the references has been replaced with dll. This does not occur for the new project I added. Here it says that it cannot find the missing vbp file. So basically my question is. How do I create a reference to a project, so when the projects are in the same group, I references by *.vbp files. And when the projects are opened alone the reference are transformed to a dll.
I have a script that compiles the project group using vb6.exe
PS. I get exactly the samme error when I add a reference to a completely empty project, to the project I try to compile
