Can I Connect a server to a domain and to a workgroup

This may be way out of my league and not possible but I am going to ask. I presently have a file server that is part of a domain connected through one network adaptor. I need to setup another small (5 PC) network on the same file server through a workgroup and off another network adaptor. I do not want the 5 PC to see the domain or be able to connect to it. Is this possible? The file server is running Server 2000. I have two network cards on it and it is presenlty part of a domain. Any feedback would be appreciated.

A computer can't be a part of a domain and a workgroup AT THE SAME TIME. It is either a member of one or the other.  If the server is a member of a workgroup then you can still access domain resources from it (you'll be prompted for a username and password of a domain account when say accessing a file on the domain).

But if you don't want the workstations to be able to access the domain in any way then the server would need to be in the workgroup and not on the domain.

This is what I thought, but wasn't sure if I could still access the domain. Thanks for your help you just saved me a ton of time and trouble.
