Change "Start Search" button to my own graphic and Delete "Reset" Button in a Search Form

I have searched this site and found a few things but still need help.  I just want to take a search form and use my own "go" button - deleting the "Start Search" and "Reset" buttons on the search form (FrontPage 2002).  Thanks.

Try this code:
<input type=image src="goButton.gif" name="Submit" alt="Go">
(stolen from EE :))

Howto: just switch to the HTML view, it'll show you the form and the buttons, search for your submit button and replace with the code above. Presto :)

Your old one will look like this:
<input type="submit" value="Start search" >
the new one:
<input type="submit" alt="Start search" src="goButton.gif">

<body>

<!--webbot bot="Search" S-Index="All" S-Fields S-Text="Search" I-Size="20" S-Submit="Start Search" S-Clear="Reset" S-TimestampFormat="%m/%d/%Y" TAG="BODY" --></body></html>

Ah, sorry, I was thinking a general form.. You can't really modify the frontpage search component. The only thing you could do is change formatting (fonts, colors) of the form / buttons. Like this: http://www.rxs-enterprises.org/tests/search_form.htm

The other possiblity would be to use a 3rd party search system, like google.com or atomz.com, see:
http://www.google.com/searchcode.html
or
http://www.atomz.com/applications/search/
(and most of the others as well)

You'll just need to index you site with the search engine, copy+paste the code from them to your website. You can customize the search buttons all you want as well :))

Ahhhhhhhhhhh - the drawbacks of FrontPage - and the problem is I have to use it - it's an Intranet, etc., etc.  I'll take your advice about the google.

Thanks for your help.
