Sun V210 Video Wont Display

I just installed a Sun v210 with Sol 9.  It has all latest patchs.  It came with out the video card (Sun XVR-100 Graphics Accelerator) installed.  I installed it and set the resolution as sugested etc.  All I get is a purple pattern of colors and no actual video display.  I have tried several different resolution settings using fbconfig.  Also checked res. capability using fbconfig.  When ever I change something I did:

touch /reconfigure

then did a :  sync

then a :  reboot -- -r

Have also tried using 24 and 8 bit depth mode:  fbconfig -dev pfb0 -depth 24  (or 8)
Also tried using a sun and different vendor monitors.  Nothingbut purple colors no matter what monitor I use!

Does anyone have a clue.

There was a similiar post on this, but it didnt fix my problem.

Uninstall the Driver And change the Card place to another slot and download the latest driver files from the the link below.
Also check if you have ahttp://www.sun.com/download/index.jsp?cat=Hardware%20Drivers&tab=3
Try connecting it to a laptop and see if it works, maybe the monitor is not working.
