link validator software that works but is not insanely prices
I want a link validator that will spider my site and give me info about which pages fail and which pages are slow, etc. I have a dynamic site which probably has 10000 pages right now and I haven't even gotten started yet. I need a link checker with no limits.
It also needs to be multithreaded. I want to have this double as a load tester.
I can't use a web service because one of the uses of this is going to be to hit my dev server before deploying to determine if any pages throw 404s or sorry pages or whatever. So, it'd be nice (but not required) if I could add some logic into it which would alert me if it detected certain strings. Actually, a more likely test would be to detect the lack of a string. Every page has a footer on it. If an exception is thrown, the footer wouldn't be displayed, so that would indicate an error.
I like REL's link validator the best out of the ones I've looked at:
http://www.relsoftware.com/wlv/purchase/faq/
but, their prices are insane. Paying $95 for this type of software is reasonable, but paying $795 for unlimited links is insane.
I've tried HTML Link Validator (http://lithopssoft.com/), but that software ignores a bunch of my links on the site when it spiders. I can point it to a page full of links and it'll just load one link and finish, saying there aren't any other links on the page.
I tried Alert Linkrunner, but it's terribly slow and not multithreaded at all.
