Printer will not print fax documents with Legal paper, ONLY uses Letter tray.

Before anything i will breakdown the setup i was introduced to today.

Windows 2003 Domain with 20 users.
Hp Laser-Jet 8000dn setup on 2k3 server though tcp and listed on AD shared.
Stand Alone System with Windows 2003 CLIENT (NO AD setup).
Digicom 4 line fax-modem setup with MS Fax Services.

With the setup aside company needed to have faxes printed from the printers tray 3.
Under the "Printers and Faxes" i have the Fax Server on this machine along with the AD HP printer. Faxes are routed to the printer automatically. Tray 1 is Manual Feed, Tray 2 is Letter, Tray 3 is Legal.
I changed the Printing Preference's on the Fax to "Legal" and i also Force the shared printer both on the server AND the local machine to ONLY print from tray 3. When I "Print Test Page" from the local machine fax server it print it from tray 3 on Legal HOWEVER NO MATTER what I do ALL Incoming Faxes are sent to Tray 2 Letter paper.

I even Created a dedicated Printer on the server with different name and added to the Fax Server machine, This printer I made sure Through the Properties and preference's page to ALWAYS print from tray 3 which it does if i use note, etc.... EXCEPT when an incoming fax comes In??? Any Idea?

If I'm not mistaken, changing the fax paper size will only affect outgoing faxes. When you say "Fax Server", do you mean an actual server, or a fax software installed on your machine?
Can you specify a tray assignment for the fax printouts, or just paper size? If the fax server/software has it's own printer settings, they may be overriding the printer settings.

Fax server is the windows 2003 machine using the built in MS Fax Services. No 3rd party software installed.  THe printer is setup with Tray 1 is Manual Feed, Tray 2 is Letter, Tray 3 is Legal.
I;ve setupt he printer defualt tray as tray 3 and selected "not avalible" on trays 1,2,.  Whats strange is that when i need I print on the machine using programs, its prints all document using tray 3 however when a fax is recived it prints on tray 2 even though i've disabled printing on that tray.
