Hello,

I'm developing some 2D games at the moment; I've done a load of programming, now I need to implement the actual characters into the game, the problem is: I have no decent imagery!

My game involves characters being able to stand still, walk/run, punch, kick, etc.. However, I'm more of a programmer than I am a designer, so I'm hoping that some of you lot can relate to my situation, and tell me what you lot do when developing games (in terms of, where'd you get your graphics from?).

I'm hoping that perhaps there exists a site, with loads of character designs?? :o\

Thanks in advance,
Rob.

Your best bet it searching for free 'sprites'

I recommend using  http://www.panelmonkey.org/category.php?id=2  as this provides ALOT of free sprites. If you click on 'gallery', there are quite a few sprites that users have made and submitted themselves, but i advise finding something you like from the 'Game Sprites' catagory. There are thousands of different characters here, taken from hundreds of different games. Find a lesser known game, and re-use its sprites from there. Will do the job nicely!
