Error when trying to delete a document for a database

Have a database on multiple servers.  On one server the document has been deleted.  However replication has now frozen due to an error - Attempt to use a invalid slot number.  Have never experienced this error before and manual deletion on other servers causes the same error.  So now no replication is possible.

The error in the Server log is:

Unable to store document in BSN1/Effem suppdiv\map.nsf (NoteID = 491750) from MAP\map.nsf (NoteID = 292698): Attempt to use an invalid slot number


Anyone got any ideas??

Users have been using the replicas on every server for a while now and so this is causing an issue as replication is not happening!!!

You tried running Compact and/or Fixup already? Most likely a document is corrupted. The easiest way to do this is to start the Admin client, on the Files tab, right-click the database and select the operation you want.

What are your Domino/Notes version numbers??

Tried running both Compact & Fixup and the same error occurs - can't delete the document and replication fails.

Any other options?

The Domino/Notes versions are 6.5 on the severs some clients are on 5.0.09a others on 6.0.3.

If I try to understand the gibberish, it says to compact the database using copy-style compacting (same database but new O/S file), to get rid of the corruption. Then run Updall to fix the views when they are corrupt. You'd have to do this probably on ALL replicas of the database.

By the way, release R6.5 is of a rather poor quality. I'd suggest to update to R6.5.3 or higher.

Just to let you know ended up having to delete all replicas except the one that was fine and then re-rep the database back out!! :)  Not much fun
