Outlook 2003 Cannot Delete a Bad Reminder

I have inadvertently added a bad reminder (where the end date occurs before the start date) using an iCalendar import.

Now, the reminder keeps popping up (this has been going on for two weeks).  I can't open the item as I keep getting an error "Cannot open the item for this reminder.  The end date you entered occurs before the start date".  I also cannot "dismiss" the reminder either.

I am not using Exchange (this is a stand-alone Outlook 2003).

I've tried the /CleanReminders switch on outlook.exe, but that does not fix it.

I'm desperate for a solution.  Can anyone help me?  Is there a way to get at the "raw" reminders so I can delete this bad item?

All help is appreciated.

You'll need to edit the MAPI table.

Download MFCMAPI tool from http://support.microsoft.com/?ID=291794 and install it to your machine... then:

1. Make sure Outlook is closed and then open the MFCMAPI tool
2. Go to Session->Logon and Display Store Table
3. Click on your profile
4. Click on Mailbox
5. Expand "Root Container"
6. Right click “Reminders" and then click "open contents table"
7. In the window opens titled Reminders, select all the reminder items listed, Right click and select "Delete Message"
8. Quit the MFCMAPI tool

Reopen Outlook and all should be well.

You my friend, are a genious.  This worked perfectly and I am now good to go.  I've scoured the Internet looking for a solution and you're the only person that had an answer.

Thanks!
