How to partition from Knoppix? (How to start with Knoppix?)
I have T6212 EMachines, with Win XP on 160Gig HD.
I intend to make two partitions on this HD, reinstall XP on the first one and
Linux on the second.
On this computer, when I ran Knoppix from CD, I cannot see hard drive from
fdisk from terminal window, but when I type df
I see it as /dev/hda1 and /dev/hda2 with normal information.
I can also browse this two windows partitions from Knoppix GUI.
How can I partition CD from Knoppix?
Context of this question is: How to start with Knoppix?:

If I defragment C: drive, will be this safe to run fdisk from Linux and assume
that Windows system happens to be at the beginning of the new partition safely preserved?
