Backup Exec v9.1 with DAT72 - error cleaning tape

Up until recently I have had Backup Exec v9.1 work fine.  However recently I got a reminder to clean the tape drive.  I put in a standard DSS Cleaning Tape, it goes through the motions and eventually spits out the tape.  However every morning the message asking to clean the tape reappears, and I am no longer receiving email notification about the jobs either failling or succeeding.  I have checked several backups and they seem to work fine.

Can anybody help?

Thanks in advance.
