What OS are you using?
Right-click on the directory you want to give write permissions and add the internet guest account (IUSR_YOURCOMPUTERNAME) and give it write permissions.

I'm using windows xp pro and the iis is 5.1 , I get the errors on unlink() functions and createimage() functions (the extension was installeled properly).
Warning: unlink(../Photos/bembe/2003_1225Image0092.jpg) [function.unlink]: Permission denied in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\flashxml\Gallery\edit_photos.php on line 47

I tryed your solution (matt) I dont know what you mean, I right click on the folder (would be nice to set it to the whole wwwroot  folder) and the options i have are: sharing; web sharing none of them have the option of adding an account
Thanks !!

OK good. You need to disable simple file sharing, which will make a security tab appear; and there you will be able to apply the more advanced permission. In Windows Explorer click on Tools->Folder Options->View and go all the way down to the bottom and uncheck "Enable Simple file sharing"
Then right click on the folder of choice and hit security and add the internet guest account permissions.

Well , you sent me to the right place but i dont think we see the same things on the folder options. I played with it and i found the solution , there is sharing and security>> check : share this folder on the network & allow network users to change my files.
For me at the moment its important that it works but im guessing its a security problem to do such a thing (i only use this so i can work offline on stuff)
Thanks for the help!
