WSUS question

Hi all,

I have a WSUS server, and things are working fine, I just have a question about it.
we have what we call Hardware Integration Department, and every time they get a new PC ready they have to go online and get all the updates from Microsoft web site, because they are not allowed to  let a PC leave without being up to date.
is there away for me to make like a special OU with different settings, to let those PC's get the updates as soon as they come online?

All comments all appreciated

this should be possible...you can create a new OU for the new machines to be put into, and the put a GPO on the OU, that has the update option set to 'download automatically, and notify for install'. The key is that you don't want to use the 'scheduled install' option.

that way, when the PCs are added to the domain, and then rebooted, they should get their updates for install...but the admin would have to click to do the install -  I don't think there's an option to automatically download and install immediately

to force the installation of the updates downloaded from a WSUS server approve the update for install and set a deadline that's past due.  that'll make the client ignore the scheduled part and immediately install the updates. The only thing your guys would have to do then would be sit there and await the user intervention pop ups.
